The Lo Fidelity All Stars have been around since 1996, producing some nice, steady alternative tunes that are enjoyable to listen to anywhere and anytime.
I have enjoyed listening to their brand of almost trance-like rock that will just allow my mind to go to places that regular techno trance doesn't. They're very mellow usually, with an appropriate amount of songs that will just straight up wake you right out of whatever world they to where they may have taken you. I especially enjoy listening to them while trying to work things through my head.
The Lo Fidelity All Stars have a tendency to be very thought provoking. While the Lo Fidelity All Stars are still theoretically producing music, they haven't been in concert since 2009. I was at the Bloom Festival in 2009 in the UK and it was awesome to get to see them perform.
They may not be much individually to look at, but the contrast is in all their awesomely soul-capturing music. Once they started to perform they had the crowd like putty in their hands, bringing them through the ups and downs of their non-traditional brand of trance/electronica. The whole experience was something I hope they make available to the fans again soon.
