Milk Inc.

The stage is lit by a multitude of color. Green, blue, red, yellow, and purple lights flash and spin across the stage, illuminating the band and the audience. The crowd are going crazy, jumping and screaming, pumping their fists, and cheering. A techno beat plays in the background. Singer Linda Mertens, wearing light denim jeans and a small tank top, grabs the microphone and starts to sing “Run”. Keyboarder Filip Vandueren hypes up the crowd, encouraging them to dance, sing, and shout louder. The enthusiastically respond with screams and waves. Not a soul in the room is standing still as the complex beat, rhythm, and sound that make up Milk Inc. explode over the crowd. Milk Inc, a dance band from Belgium, formed in 1996. The band is currently made up of Regi Penxten, Filip Vandueren, and Linda Mertens, and they play dance, techno, electronic, and eurodance music. Their first album, Apocalyps(e) Cow, was releaed in 1998 and was ranked No. 5 on the Belgium charts. Between 2000 and 2013, they released twelve albums, three of which were rated No. 1 on the Belgium charts. They have also released thirty-nine singles, including “Storm”, “Chasing The Wind”, and “Blackout”. Milk Inc. are an excellent band, and have been awarded multiple MIA Awards for Best Dance/Elektro and multiple TMF Awards Belgium for Best Dance Act National and Best Album National. Their awesome performances are well worth seeing.
