Glorious Leader and Ragnar Ólafsson

Glorious Leader is the solo project of American songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kyle Woolard.
For 16 years he’s been touring internationally in four contintnets, both as a solo performer and as a member of the group The Anatomy of Frank. As a solo artist Kyle has, among other things, collaborated and toured with Icelandic acts such as Svavar Knútur, Myrra Rós and Árstíðir.

The music of Glourious leader toggles between wood-stove intimacy and dancefloor urgency, layering fingerpicked guitar with synths, orchestration, and drum machines. It's electronic but warm, melancholic but restless — electro-folk with fangs.

Ragnar Ólafsson is an Icelandic singer-songwriter, composer and author, based in Reykjavík. Equally at home on international stages and in the recording studio, he divides his time between touring with his solo project, performing with the acclaimed indie-folk band Árstíðir, and composing for film and television.

As a solo artist, Ragnar is as much storyteller as musician. Each of his albums is written while travelling and his records unfold like sonic road movies: intimate, reflective, and shaped by the people and places he encounters along the way.

On stage, Ragnar brings these journeys to life. His concerts are intimate and personal; between songs he shares the stories behind their creation, inviting the audience to travel with him — from dusty highways in Latin America to quiet northern landscapes. The result is a concert experience that feels both cinematic and deeply human.

Beyond his solo work, Ragnar is known internationally as a member of Árstíðir, whose tours have built a strong following across Germany and Europe. He is also an established composer for film and television. His latest score is for the Paramount+ series Little Disasters, starring Diane Kruger.
